2009 CMJ Film Fest Special Screening of “Leonard Cohen Live At The Isle Of Wight 1970” Available on DVD

The 29th CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival 2009 (CMJ09), Opening Night Special Screening of LEONARD COHEN: LIVE AT THE ISLE OF WIGHT 1970, directed by Academy Award winning filmmaker Murray Lerner was held at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex, New York, Tuesday, October 20, 7:00 PM. Attendees included CMJ recording artists, filmmakers, industry professionals, songwriters, producers, promoters, and journalists. A special Q&A session immediately followed the screening with director Lerner and singer/songwriter Judy Collins moderated by Alan Light, director,
programming, "Live from the Artists Den."

LEONARD COHEN: LIVE AT THE ISLE OF WIGHT 1970 is an astonishing music documentary based on the awe inspiring live performance by iconic Canadian folksinger/songwriter/poet/novelist Leonard Cohen at the Third Annual Isle Of Wight Music Festival, on August 31, 1970, 2:00 A.M. The five-day outdoor music festival in England with an estimated audience of 600,000 featured performances by Joan Baez, Jimmy Hendrix, Kris Kristofferson, and many others. The exclusive behind the scenes and live footage of Cohen's performance are profound and extraordinary.
