    SeeFlik is an online film competition open to current students and alumni (5 years or less) of an accredited film school. There are two separate competitions, one based on audience votes and one on our panel of judges selections. Each competition will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner, receiving $7,500, $5,000 and $2,500, respectively. In addition, there will be an overall winner based upon a combination of both contests, who will receive the Overall Winner's Prize of $20,000. All winners will be showcased to major talent agents through David Greenblatt, a well-known manager who has partnered with SeeFlik.

    The 10th February has been announced to be the deadline for submitting films to the selection of the 52th Krakow Film Festival. This year it will take place between 28th May and 3rd June. The above mentioned deadline applies to films made after August 31st 2011. Films which were made before that date were due for submission until November 30th 2011.

  • 2012 Directors Circle Festival Of Shorts-

    The 2012 Directors Circle Festival Of Shorts has officially opened our call for entries and will accept submissions internationally of short length films and feature and short length scripts in any and all genres including Narrative, documentary, horror, experimental, Avant-garde, animation,Religious/Spiritual, Gay/Lesbian and all genre of music videos for our 2012 festival.

    We will accept all forms of religious, Christian, and spiritual films and scripts including African, African American, Gay/Lesbian, Black, Hispanic, Islamic, Latino, Native/Aboriginal and student films from the United States and around the world.

    Festival horror categories for scripts and films will include Horror, Thrillers, Science Fiction, Suspense, Grindhouse Horror, Horror Documentary, Horror Animation, and student horror films and scripts.

  • Call for Entries- The Festival of Native American Film celebrates the creative energy of Native American directors, producers, writers, actors, musicians, cultural activists, and all the others who support their endeavors. We accept features and shorts, narratives, documentaries, animation, video art, experimental film and new media. There are also programs for children's films and youth produced work. Films/videos must have been completed within 18 months of festival dates (after March 1, 2011). The closing date is June 1, 2012 (exceptions can be made for works-in-progress as long as the finished product is available by August 1. Complete application and provide expected finish date.) There is no submission fee. This is a non-competitive festival, however, we do recognize audience favorites for documentary, narrative and children's feature films.

  • Call for Entries: 2012 DC Shorts Film Festival and Screenwriting Competitions -

    DC Shorts showcases the largest audience-driven collection of short films in the USA.  Now in our 9th year, we expect hundreds of filmmakers and thousands of audience members mix, mingle and explore the world of short cinema.

    DC Shorts is unique among film festivals, as we entries to read the feedback and scores from the judging panels — a point which impressed MovieMaker Magazine to name us as “one of 20 festivals worth an entry fee,” and “one of the leading film festivals” in the country — year after year!

     

    The DC Shorts Film Festival (September 6-16, 2012) turns the spotlight on truly independent short films, created by new and established filmmakers in an era when the art of filmmaking is opening to all. We select films of every genre and niche for our competition screenings — with a special focus on films created by metropolitan Washington, DC-based directors and writers. After each screening, filmmakers have the opportunity to speak to the audience as part of a moderated panel.

  • Call for Entries: Crazy Horse Session – 48h Animation Jam-

    Animating a film before an audience? A frightening thought for most animation artists. All the more challenging is the task of creating a short film within 48 hours. International teams compete with each other in the 48h Animation Jam, live at the 19th Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film - ITFS (May 8. - 13. 2012).

    The competition addresses animation students from international film and art schools as well as independent animators and animation producers aged 30 years or younger. The organizers will choose five teams from all of the applicants. The teams must develop an animated short film live at the festival and within 48 hours. All of the teams use the same character – the Festival mascot Trixi. The best film will be awarded.

  • CALL FOR ENTRIES: Extended deadline: Cartoons for Teens and AniMovie- The Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film – ITFS – (May 08 – 13, 2012) was founded in 1982 and is one of the world’s largest and most important festivals for animated film. The Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film presents the Trickstar in seven different competition categories which cover a spectrum from short animated film and animated series to feature-length animated films. Cash prizes worth approximately 68,000 Euros will be awarded in 2012.

    The submission deadline for the following categories has elapsed at December 1, 2012: International Competition, student film competition Young Animation and children’s film competition Tricks for Kids.
