SeeFlik is an online film competition open to current students and alumni (5 years or less) of an accredited film school. There are two separate competitions, one based on audience votes and one on our panel of judges selections. Each competition will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner, receiving $7,500, $5,000 and $2,500, respectively. In addition, there will be an overall winner based upon a combination of both contests, who will receive the Overall Winner's Prize of $20,000. The 10th February has been announced to be the deadline for submitting films to the selection of the 52th Krakow Film Festival. This year it will take place between 28th May and 3rd June. DC Shorts showcases the largest audience-driven collection of short films in the USA. Now in our 9th year, we expect hundreds of filmmakers and thousands of audience members mix, mingle and explore the world of short cinema.

The DC Shorts Film Festival (September 6-16, 2012) turns the spotlight on truly independent short films, created by new and established filmmakers in an era when the art of filmmaking is opening to all. Animating a film before an audience? A frightening thought for most
animation artists. All the more challenging is the task of creating a
short film within 48 hours. International teams compete with each other
in the 48h Animation Jam, live at the 19th Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film - ITFS (May 8. - 13. 2012).
The competition addresses animation students from international film and art schools as well as independent animators and animation producers aged 30 years or younger. The organizers will choose five teams from all of the applicants. The teams must develop an animated short film live at the festival and within 48 hours. All of the teams use the same character – the Festival mascot Trixi. The best film will be awarded.

- CALL FOR ENTRIES: Extended deadline: Cartoons for Teens and AniMovie- The Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film – ITFS – (May 08 – 13, 2012) was founded in 1982 and is one of the world’s largest and most important festivals for animated film. The Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film presents the Trickstar in seven different competition categories which cover a spectrum from short animated film and animated series to feature-length animated films.
