Cairo Time on Aruba Time!

The night before their premier, we met at the Aruba Golf Resort at The Burning Plain after party and over all-you-can-Mumms, I spoke with them both about their experience filming entirely on location in Cairo. In the presence of flipping and twirling Aruba Carnivalesque stage dancers- a truly Lynchian moment- they told me how marvelous and exciting their experience in Cairo was.

From the looks of their laughing eyes and pure enjoyment at the festival, it appears that both of these women have loved every minute of making this film, from beginning to end!

Black Gold, DIFF 2011 

BLACK GOLD (2011) premiered at the Doha Tribeca Film festival (DTFF 2011) this year on October 25, 2011, to a sold out theater and an eager international and local audience. This is as international as they come, involving at least ten different countries from cast variance to co-production partners. It was also a Qatar related film, partially shot in the Qatari deserts and a story based on the native history of the Middle East oil conflict.

The 49th New York Film Festival 2011(NYFF 2011) Closing Night Premiere of The Descendants, directed by Academy award-winning filmmaker Alexander Payne commenced Sunday, October 16, 2011, 9:00 PM at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. Presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, red carpet arrivals included industry executives, festival directors, cast and crew: director Alexander Payne, Amara Miller, Beau Bridges, George Clooney, Judy Greer, Matthew Lollardl, Nick Krause, Robert Forster, Shailene Woodley, Jim Rash, and Nat Faxon.

Parramatta Westfield was packed and young ladies (and a couple of young men) could be heard screaming and yelling, as Jason Derulo hit the stage.

Presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the HBO documentary airs Wednesday, October 5, and Thursday, October 6, 9:00PM ET. Red carpet arrivals at the premiere included Adrian Grenier, Eric Idle, Helen Morris, Margaret Bodde, Martin Scorsese, Nigel Sinclair, Olivia Harrison, Rita Wilson, Sean Young, Warren Zanes, and industry executives.

Jackman's new flick 'Real Steel' enjoyed its red carpet premiere in Sydney, Australia tonight, in front of a crowd of about 500 screaming fans.

Yes everyone, it´s only one day till the world premiere of Twilight. All those happy campers in the square are about to get very excited. But more on that tomorrow...

Wow, what an opening.  Limos cruised behind the red carpet, helicopters buzzed around LA Live, spotlights strobed the skies, and I felt like I was in a Batman movie, with the big action sequence about to erupt around me.  Festival volunteers ushered me to the rooftop Opening Night party of the LA Film Festival, telling me excitedly "you'll be able to watch the riots from there!".
