    Derby City Film Festival Announces 2012 Selections 

    56 films to screen during the three day festival including 24 International films from 16 Countries, 8 World Premieres & 5 US Premieres 

     

    LOUISVILLE, KY. (January 2nd) — 

     

    The organizers of The Derby City Film Festival are pleased to announce the selections for the 2012 edition to be held in February. In total 56 films will screen during the three day festival which will be held February 17th - 19th, 2012 at the Clifton Center. The lineup includes 24 International films representing 16 countries as well as 8 World Premieres, 5 US Premieres, and 28 KY Premieres. Eight films were produced in the Bluegrass State and another 5 have ties to Kentucky.

    The 21st Annual 2012 New York Jewish Film Festival (NYJFF2012) commences January 11-26, 2012 at the Walter Reade Theater. The festival presented by The Jewish Museum and The Film Society of Lincoln Center, annually showcase feature and short films (drama, documentary) that explores the Jewish experience. The 21st NYJFF celebration consist of 34 films (13 N.Y., 1 N.Y.C., 5 U.S., and 6 World premieres), panel discussions, gala receptions, and special events held at the Walter Reade Theater and Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center.

  • CAMBOFEST, Cambodia Film Festival travels to New York City and beyond-

    CAMBOFEST (www.cambofest.com), Cambodia's first international film festival event since the end of the Khmer Rouge regime - and Cambodia's only indie film festival! - celebrates its half-decade mark with a screening of shorts from its recent 4th edition in Manhattan, New York City in December. 

    CamboFest later continues its US tour with a stop in Los Angeles and other cities before moving on to Canada, Mexico, and other global host venues.

    The Manhattan event, hosted by New Filmmakers (New York), brings a list of short titles from parts of the world where film and festival culture is still emerging, including shorts from Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and other countries.
